SUMMER AT WALNUT HILL

The nation's premier summer arts intensive for young artists, Walnut Hill draws students from around the world.

Our programs are designed to provide the highest level of artistic training in a fun, nuturing, and enjoyable manner set in a conservatory-style atmosphere. Walnut Hill offers exciting programs in Ballet, Creative Writing, Chamber Music, Opera, and Theater. We attract students who are serious about their studies and who are seeking a level of study that would not typically be offered in an arts camp environment.

All programs occur on Walnut Hill's lovely, spacious campus in Natick, Massachusetts. Three of the programs culminate in a supervised trip to Europe to provide participants with the opportunity to experience their art in the historic and cultural birthplaces of Western Art.

Residential Halls and Advisors

All students live in one of the eight residence halls located on campus. While Walnut Hill has a large campus, no residence hall is more than a five-minute walk from the classrooms and performance spaces. Rooms range from doubles to quads. Each hall has its own common room with a television, DVD/VCR, microwave, and refrigerator. The halls are charming, well kept, and make our students feel at home. Girls and boys live separately and there are approximately 12 students per Resident Advisor.

In addition to the Director of Summer and Academy Programs, Walnut Hill has a talented and devoted group of Resident Advisors who monitor the halls, assist students, and organize social activities. RA's are often college students or graduates who have had experience in student live and/or the arts.
