everything is real
she was big not massive but big
in the way a lime is never lime green or men offer the last piece of bread to a dinner guest
and cut some butter for themselves
she said she was a king even besides the fact she spoke too much and had
breasts
we asked her to wash her hair because kings do that in the pictures
she said lice
sell well
and there was no point in passing up a good opportunity
but we still didn’t believe her
so she went outside the cave and sat on a rock and pointed at the water
and said I’m King Of That See
i said That’s More Like A Lagoon so we looked it up in an encyclopedia
and it turned out to be an atoll
and i was wrong
again
but when my comrade defended me by blurting Cover Yourself Whore
she slapped him so hard the stars saw him and his red was cheek for an hour
and made him cake
with chocolate frosting and sprinkles and dissimulation
so there would be no hard feelings
and we ate it all
